Union Mines Secretary Arun Kumar on Wednesday called on Chief Minister Raghubar Das in his office. Officially dubbed as a courtesy call, the meeting saw some pending issues relating to Jharkhand coming into fore.
“More number of blocks of iron ore, bauxite and different other major materials are to be auctioned in the State and the Secretary was to know about difficulties, if any in this regard. Mining related agencies such as Geological Survey India and Indian Bureau of Mines are to work in close coordination with the Department here and he offered for all the help,” said Mines Director Aboobacker Siddique following the meeting.
Besides, recovery of fines and penalties in the light of the recent Supreme Court order regarding unauthorised iron ore excavations done also come for discussion.
