An unidentified body has been found on Thursday from Road number-10 in Dwarkapuri under Chutia police station. The deceased is a girl of about 18 years. However, identification seems to be an uphill task as the body has been defaced allegedly with some heavy object.
The body has been sent for postmortem and the police has begun the probe to identifying the body. “No arrest has been made as we are trying to identify the body. We have sent messages to police stations in rural areas to find out if there is any complaint of missing person. We have also informed police of other districts,” said City SP Anoop Birtharay.
The body was spotted in the morning from the area with face disfigured and bearing deep injury marks all over the body. While the postmortem report is still awaited police officials have not ruled out rape before slaying the women. The body was lying at a nearby under-construction building in Dwarkapuri. Nonetheless, the police claims to solve the case as early as possible.
