An identified body of a youth was found hanging from a tree near Ohdar tola Kutri near Jaridih police station late on Sunday evening. Meanwhile, local residents called officer-in charge, Radha Kumari after spotting a body hanging from a tree and while police were investigating the location, Kumari said.
Kumari, while talking to The Pioneer, said that the police are investigating into the matter to ascertain the exact cause of death and trying to identify the person. According to the police, the middle aged deceased is yet to be identified as of on Monday morning. Kumari said no one reported seeing what happened before some witnesses claimed that they saw what appeared to be a man hanging from tree. It is unclear how long the body had been there, but its visibility from the road suggested the youth died recently. She said O/C found no signs of foul play, which rule out the man’s death being a hate crime. The body has been sent for postmortem.
