SP Manoj Kaushik has suspended the investigating officer of Dandai Khurd gang rape and murder case ASI Dayanand Singh as pressure on police is continuously mounting by regular protests, marches and demonstrations on streets of the town. large numbers of people, political parties and social organisations have taken part in the protest against the police inaction in the gruesome incident.
On Saturday evening, AJSU organised a candle march-cum-homage meeting in which the parliamentary constituency in-charge loknath Mahto and assembly constituency in-charge Pradeep Prasad participated. The candle march started from District Board Chowk and ended at Burhwa Madhadev Temple campus where a large number of AJSU workers and general people kept two minute silence and paid their homage to the victim of gang rape and murder.
On the other hand MlA Saurav Narayan Singh met SP Manoj Kaushik with his supporters and showed his annoyance on the role of police department. SP informed him that out of four named accused they have arrested two and very soon rest two will also be nabbed. On Feburary 5 police had arrested Manoj Kushwaha and yesterday Shamim Ansari was nabbed.
As everyone knows that a minor girl of Dandai Khurd village of Sadar block, who was a student of intermediate was reported missing in the evening of January 28. On February 3 her dead body was recovered from a well situated in the outskirt of the village.
The police — who was initially taking it as a teenage love case — then took it as suicide but after the postmortem report suddenly everything changed. As per report she was first gang raped and then murdered by due to damage of windpipe. On her neck impressions were found which proved that more than one person was involved in this murder.
