Ispat General Hospital of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant was recently equipped with Japan-made Upper GI and lower GI Endoscopy Machine PENTAX. In a function organised on 10th April Dr. B K Hota, ED (M&HS) inaugurated the machine in the presence of Dr N P Sahoo, CMO, Dr L.K Biswal, CMO, Dr P. K Mohapatra, CMO, Dr. Jayanta Acharya, CMO, Dr Indira Mishra, Additional CMO, Dr R.R. Mohanty, Additional CMO, other Senior Doctors and Staff of Department of Medicine.
This equipment laced with cutting edge technology will perform a wide range of procedures with greater accuracy and efficiency resulting in better patient outcome. It will help in diagnosis of intestinal diseases followed by successful treatment.
Notably IGH treats more than 17000 Indoor patients and around 5,00,000 Outdoor Patients annually comprising employees and their family members, residents of Steel Township, peripheral populace and persons from neighbouring states.
