Government Railway Police on Saturday arrested two persons with around 280 gm of brown sugar from the Ranchi Railway Station. The two persons, Md Monu and Sultan Ahmed, have been sent to jail for carrying the banned substance. The GRP arrested both persons from platform number one when they checked the belongings of the persons. According to GRP officals, Monu was carrying the drugs which he wanted to handover to Sultan.
Both the accused were subsequently questioned to find the source of the drugs but the Police failed to extract any vital information from them. Both accused are residents of the lower Bazaar area of Ranchi.
Association of steel executives elects leaders
In a recently held election of the Association of Steel Executives of SAIl Units at Ranchi, new office bearers were elected. Abhrajyoti Nag was elected as the president and Amitabh Paul was elected as General Secretary. Besides, all Executives Committee Members and other office bearers were also elected. The SAIl Executives fraternity congratulated them and pinned hope that the new committee will take care of the genuine interests.
Agrawal to start election campaign today
Election office of Suresh Chandra Agrawal and his team for the FJCCI election is to be inaugurated on Sunday at Shanti Dwip Complex at Radium Road in Ranchi by the former FJCCI President Rajendra Kumar Sarawgi. Former President of Agrawal Mahasabha will be the chief guest along with other distinguished guests. Facilities like computer, Fax, internet as well as refreshments will be provided to the the workers.
