Two persons, including a woman, died, while four others were injured in road accidents in Bokaro district on Tuesday night.
A woman Geeta Devi (32) died when a speeding truck (WB 81 0661) crushed her to death at Kurra More under Pindrajora police station. Akash the nephew of the deceased was with her, got multiple injuries is admitted to a local hospital where his condition is stable, police said.
“At NH-23 a speeding truck rammed Geetan very badly, she was on her way to home”, said an eyewitness.
The Driver and co-pilot of the truck escaped from the spot after the accident took place, police seized the truck and a case has been lodged at the local police station.
While in another incident Guru Sewak Singh (22) a resident of Sardar Colony Chas died after a speeding car collided with his bullet on NH 23 at Chas Anumandal Hospital. While Shilpa (18) and lovely (21) severely injured in the accident, admitted to a local hospital at Chas. The condition of Shilpa is stable while lovely is critical, hospital authority said. Dr Vikash who was driving the car also injured in the accident and admitted to the hospital. According to the eyewitness, in an inebriated condition, Dr Vikash was driving his car with a wild speed which resulted in the accident.
“He was driving under the influence of alcohol. later locals dragged him out of the car and beaten up him badly”, said another eyewitness.
