Two people died while 5 others seriously got injured on Thursday morning when a Scorpio jeep (JH-02S -8510) coming from Dhanbad collided with a bridge rolling near Shankardih village. The jeep was on its way from Dhanbad to Chatra district. The impact was so strong that the vehicle turned upside down after the collision
The accident occurred at around 6am.One of the dead was still trapped in the twisted metal of the Scorpio jeep .One was identified as Navin Kumar Nisad (22) declared brought dead at the Meena General hospital, Dumari, the injured people now under treatment. After first Aid, all of them were shifted to KM Memorial hospital Bokaro, where one injured Imran (20), later died on his way to the hospital.
The condition of the injured continues to be precarious. Some of the injured have been shifted to other hospitals by their family members who rushed to the hospital. According to eyewitnesses, the Scorpio jeep was moving towards Chatra at high speed. “The moment I received the information I rushed to the spot” said the officer-in charge Rukshad Ahmad. He said that by the time he pulled out the injured people, he rushed them to Meena general hospital Dumari in Giridih.
