Two persons were killed and 26 others injured in separate accidents in and around the Giridih within the jurisdiction of Nimiaghat police station during the last six hours here on Sunday.First mishap took place near Chainpur village in Dumari-Giridih road where the driver of a car died on the spot while three persons suffered injuries when it turned turtle on Sunday afternoon.
Nimiaghat officer–in charge Rukhsar Ahamad has confirmed the death of two persons including one driver Md Manaur and other Basant Ravi Das, while three injured identified as Anand Mohan Tarwe, Neelam Tarwe and Nitu Tarwe.
In the other four accident that occurred in the same district and police station where 22 year old Basant Ravidas was killed on the spot and his friend was seriously injured when their bike was hit by a speeding Tata Magic near Khakhi forest area on the Dumari-Bermo road on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred in the morning where 14 persons got serious injuries namely Basant, Dilu, Daharu Ray, Baldeo Ray, Pradip Ray, Kartik Ray, Santosh Ray, Sukhdeo Ray, Sanat Ray, Madan Ray, Magar Ray, Bundi Ray, Baleshwar Ray and Sita Ram Rai who were going to attend the religious ceremony from Dumari.
In another road accident that occurred near latkato forest area 8 persons suffered injuries when a Tempoo over turned. Two other road accidents took place near Dhawatard area under the Nimiaghat police station where two motorcycle collided head on with each other. Four youths sustained injuries.
