Hazaribagh Police has got double success on the eve of Christmas. On Monday evening Vishnugarh Police arrested a hard core Naxalite of Saranda area William Hansda and on Tuesday as Santa’s gift to Hazaribagh Police another hard core Manoj Kishku alias Talo Manjhi surrendered before SP Manoj Kaushik.
Kaushik shared the success story said that sources have informed him about the arrival of Williams to his native place Parsatri of Vishnugarh block. On Monday evening the cops nabbed him while he was going to his village. He tried to escape but OIC of Vishnugarh Dinesh Kumar Singh and Sadar OIC Ramdayal Munda along with force arrested him. SP also informed that William had been attached with the naxal group CPI Maoist since 2004 and is responsible for about two dozen naxal activities in Chaibasa, Rourkela and Simdega districts.
He was second in command in Naveen Manjhi’s group. William was also associated with the higher level committee and some months ago he left the organisation due to internal conflicts. Hazaribag police has already informed Rourkela and Chaibasa police regarding his arrest, he added. The surrender of hardcore naxal, Manoj Kishku alias Talo Manjhi, SP Manoj Kaushik said that this is the first surrender in Hazaribagh by any naxalite. Talo Manjhi was with the organisation since 2008 and three cases had been registered against him.
As per the surrender policy Manoj will get 2.5 lac as first installment. District police will also provide him legal assistance. He will be kept in the open jail with his family members.
