President, Kasturi Mahila Sabha, Rupali Gupta, inaugurated the two-days Indradhanush Fair at Rabindra Bhawan, CMPDI organised by Women in Public Sector (WIPS), CMPDI Branch. The Fair will run from 22.09.2023 to 23.09.2023 from 10.30 A.M to 8.00 P.M
On this occasion, CMD, CMPDI, Manoj Kumar; Sushma Bharti, W/o Ajay Kumar, Director (Technical/P&D); Abha Prasad, Secretary of WIPS; Dr. Shilpi Swaroop, Coordinator of WIPS and Swapnali Basu, Treasurer, WIPS were present on this occasion.
Gupta said that this fair is a confluence of tradition and modernity. In this fair, along with manufactured goods, goods made from traditional ways and eco-friendly things were also available.
In this fair, about 75 different stalls of fashionable (modern) garments/sarees, excellent jewellery, medical camps, financial advisors, plants to be kept at home and plants to be planted and delicious food have been set up.
The objective of this fair is to empower the rural women and provide a platform for small entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their products and also to promote usage of natural and eco-friendly things like clay, jute and bamboo, etc., among people.
