Birhor’s village at Tulbul has yet another reason to feel proud this year as two Birhor children (members of a nomadic primitive tribe) cracked +2 examinations and came out with flying colours.
Sahadeo Birhor and Sunder lal Birhor cleared their class 12 examination 2013 (Arts - Jharkhand Academic Council), studying under the Gyan Jyoti Yojana— CSR of Bokaro Steel Plant.
This is the third time when birhor boys passed out class 12 and enjoyed the fruits of the steel plant’s corporate social responsibility — free stay at plant hostel and education at Bokaro Ispat Vidyalaya.
In the year 2011 four Birhors and in 2012 another four Birhor childred had also creaked higher secondary examinations.
