Accusing TVNl Chairman Chamra linda of taking decisions without approval from Governor Syed Ahmed, Ravindra Rai said that linda removed Managing Director Gl Tripathy within a period of two months of his appointment. According to Rai, linda after removing Tripathy appointed a GM level officer of his choice to the post of MD without taking approval from the Governor.
“Governor on the other hand has become a mute spectator without questioning the authority of linda on removing Tripathy without his prior approval. Technically there are two people occupying the post of MD at the same time - one appointed by the Governor and the other one whose name has been recommended by the Chairman, Chamra linda.”
