Tussle between Rotary Club, Nagar Parshad deepens

Row between Medininagar Nagar Parshad and the Rotary Club Daltonganj over the proposed inauguration of Rotary Hospital on August 11 by Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi took a curious turn here. According to in-charge Chairman of Medininagar Nagar Parshad Permender Kumar Babu and a senior ward councilor Jitender Kumar Singh the Minister denied to have given any consent to this inauguration.
The Chairman of Medininagar Nagar Parshad and senior ward councilor Jitender Kumar Singh said, “The Minister was very angry to know the misuse of his name for this inauguration and assured the councilors that such an inauguration would not be done by him at all. The Minister tried to contact DC Palamu K Srinivasan but in vain.”
A tussle between Medininagar Nagar Parshad and Rotary Club here arose as the Nagar Parshad contended there can be no hospital in the premise and building on the plot of land that is leased out only for school while Rotary Club insists on running now a hospital here. Both the parties are referring to the terms and conditions of the registered deed so signed by these two parties in the late nineties.
The ward councilors are to stage a sit-in before the premise and building on August 10 and 11 where the Rotary Club intends to run hospital on August 11 while the Rotary Club is exploring all possibility to go ahead with its schedule. The ward councilors have knocked at the DC and SP Palamu apprising them of their plan of action. Sources said the administration may like to enforce prohibitory order under section 144 CrPC on this premise and building to ward off any breach of public tranquility. Sources said if section 144 CrPC is invoked the issue will be stable for a period of 60 days.
The Medininagar Nagar Parshad held its third press conference in its 3 day time to scotch the canard of the Rotary Club wherein a functionary of the Club has been quoted as saying by a section of Press ( not the Pioneer) that the issue between Rotary Club and Nagar Parshad has been resolved. Medininagar Nagar Parshad terms this as a false and baseless propaganda of the Club’s functionary.
