A group of tuskers are giving sleepless night for last two days to the villagers residing in Pachamo panchayat of Gomia block in Bokaro district.
A herd of 18 elephants that are moving around in the nearby forest region of Gomia and Kasmar blocks since July 26. Therefore, locals have to stay awake in the night to protect their paddy and houses.
According to villagers, the herds enter sometimes in the evening or late in the night and roam around the village damaging houses and eating all the grains stored.
