Former Congress MLA K N Tripathi today suggested Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to let down his own image by casting aspersions on “the government of those people” and “previous government”, which PM believes “had no wisdom to know what Koyal is all about in Palamu.”
Tripathy said, “Our PM had said here on January 5 that people of those government did not know if Koyal was a bird, a river or a dam.” He said, “We know what Koyal is.”
“PM should not condescend to make such a low observation. We understand by his reference to people of those government PM alluded to our leaders of Congress only but let me put the things in better way that those people knew then the Koyal as they were the people who wanted Mandal dam, Malay dam here, Ouranga dam here, Bataney dam here and so on and so forth and hence PM should not spend his energy on such inane topic,” he said. The conception of Mandal dam was during the tenure of Indira Gandhi he said.
