Trains remained stranded at Koderma and nearby stations because of the agitation at the call of Ghatwar Adivasi Mahasabha on Tuesday. Midnight low temperature could not deter them to reach in hoardes at the call of their community leaders at Dilwa station 20 kms from Koderma to join them in agitation with the demand of conferring the status of ST to them again.

Ghatwars of all age groups assembled and sat literally on the track right in front of train. Old ladies, too, were seen flashing traditional weapons. With Dhol-Nagara the self proclaimed tribe claiming to be categorized so again, as scheduled tribe participated actively in the show. Consistency of agitation seems to be on the side of the community as they have been raising voice on different occasions in various manner for the last 37 years regularly, be it dharna, gherao, procession or the likes. Continuously unheard the leaders decided to start afresh on a larger scale with increased intensity.

In the wake of a pre announced call the railway administration was prepared to divert Rajdhani Express and Ajmer Sialdah Trains to alternate routes. Doon Express, Howrah Mumbai Mail and others remained stranded at Koderma and Parsabad railway station. However the plight of passengers seemed to ease out as they withdrew only after SDO Sunil Kumar and SDPO Shrawan Kumar turned up to meet the leaders on site and assured them of conveying their message to higher authorities. Krishna Singh Ghatwar the State Vice President lead the agitation and talked with the office bearers who came to do the  conciliatory efforts.
