The markets are all set to attract customers in Durga Puja. The shopkeepers are expecting a good business. But now their sell are at stake. The business in the district has become a risk now.
And the main reason behind it is the local train, that joins lohardaga to Ranchi which has made the visit to Ranchi markets for lohardaga residents even easier. So the businessmen of lohardaga are sceptic whether their sell would increase or not this time. Notably Ranchi- lohardaga train facility was started on May 5, 2008. It makes four trips from both sides every day.
For the retailers and the wholesalers the train has proved a check in their growth of their business. The train had increased its trips regularly on Jul5, 2005 followed by Aug 8, 2005, Dec 26, 2006 and May5, 2008. Since then the train has become a lifeline of the people and residents of the district have been much interested in visiting Ranchi even to meet their domestic things. The fare of the Ranchi is just Rs 15 and about 10 thousand of people visit Ranchi by train. They have more options with a variety of ranges in the markets of the capital. Although the businessmen try to tempt the people by many gifts and offers but still they move to Ranchi.
The people move to the capital even for taking hair cuts or buying a slipper of daily use. The shop floor workers, bank employees, students and people seeking employment keep regular visit to Ranchi. This caused many businessmen to shift to the capital. So, the Rs. 15 and just a distance of 62 km from the district made the capitals market a cup of tea for the residents lohardaga.
