Train services on the Kharagpur-Chakradharpur section of South Eastern Railway (SER) will remain affected for three days, starting from February 21, in view of re-installation of steel girders of a bridge, between Balasore and Haldipada stations, in Kharagpur-Bhadrak section.
Railway officials at Garden Reach, headquarters of South Eastern Railway said that a dozen-odd mail, express and passenger trains plying in the Kharagpur-Bhadrak section will remain cancelled on February 22 and 23. But, none of the trains will remain cancelled on the main line running between Kharagpur-Tatanagar and Chakradharpur. As per the notification the Puri-Haridwar Utkal Express (Dn) will run on a diverted route on February 21 and 22. Instead of travelling via Tatanagar, the train will run through Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Angul. The train leaving Puri will also run on a diverted route on February 22 and 23.
