As the district administration closed all traffic on bank more overbridge and diverted traffic to four different directions, a huge traffic jam was witnessed on Barnasia - Bank more road that was diverted via Hirapur locality.
The traffic on this bridge has been suspended for four days for taking up repairs. The movement of traffic on overbridge would remain suspended till October 4 morning.
Round the clock magistrates have been deputed for taking up repairs as well as smooth traffic operation at seven different locations but due to narrow roads identified for traffic movement has caused jam.
The overbridge is located on Howrah- Gaya grand chord section and was built about four decades ago. Several parts of this bridge have developed cracks that district administration has initiated repair works.
