The district administration has decided to hold traffic movement on the over four decades old railway overbridge connecting Bank more locality for three days to carry out repair works. The five decade old bridge that is over railway tracks connecting Chandrapura-Bokaro from Dhanbad is in a dilapidated condition and needs urgent repair for sustainability.
According to a notification issued by the district administration, movement of all types of traffic from both the Bank More end and Gaya Bridge end would remain suspended from September 30 till October 4 morning during which repair works would be done. During this period, all traffic will be diverted to different routes of city. The administration has already diverted movement of heavy vehicles from an alternate route since September 3.
