“There is atmosphere of fear in the entire State among businessmen. Due to high morale of criminals not only businessmen even common men are also living in the atmosphere of fear. Our work is to do business not to hold protest but recent incidents against businessmen forced us to hit the streets. The Government should take immediate stern action against the increasing crime in the State so that morale of businessmen could boost. On the indifference attitude of the Government the traders held symbolical strike but if the situation will continue then the FJCCI will take more aggressive actions,” said Azmani.
Almost all shops of main road Ranchi were closed after strike called by the apex traders’ body of the State, FJCCI.
Commenting on the issue Wholesale Cloth Sellers Union president, Anil Jalan said that the businessmen of the State feel unsafe in present law and order situation of the State. “If the situation will continues then the day is not far when the traders of the State will migrate for other States.
The incident of ‘Gahna Ghar’ took place one week ago but the administration has not been able to arrest the criminals till now. It is heartening that the District Administration has not established coordination with FJCCI and Traders Bodies on the issue.
Due to indifferent attitude of the District Administration the businessmen are demoralized the State Government should take immediate cognizance,” said Jalan.
