TPC trounced in Palamu had more ammo to hold on longer

Published on:

The three ultras, who were killed in daylight encounter in Palamu on Monday near Kala Pahar in an exchange of fire with security forces, had ammunition to last them longer had the security forces not used its combatant strategies.

The three had in total 627 rounds. This encounter had lasted for one and a half hour if DSP manoj K mahto’s version is to be believed. It would have lasted longer but these cadres just fell to the experienced fighting of the security forces that comprised CRPF’s 134 battalion here which has to its credit flooring many tough nuts of extremism in the past.

Sources said these ultras were in a relax mood and under the impression that in this mid day of cruel summer when mercury is hovering between 43 to 44 degree Celsius there would come any contingent of security forces and here these TPC ultras erred most fatally to lose three of their cadres and 6 weapons which meant loss of arms is double the loss of lives!

Sources said the action of the security forces against TPC has worried most the TPC’s utter rival CPI Maoists who have most calculatedly spread this that TPC is the foster and brought up outfit of police of the state but the way here on Monday May 28 the TPC was most vigorously floored near Kala Pahar has broken this myth so woven by Maoists and fanned by others too for many gains political or social both.

Sources said a former DGP of the state is still seen as the man who got this TPC born out of CPI Maoists which the former DGP denies as hotly as it is so leveled against him!

According to SP Palamu Indrajeet Mahatha security forces recovered 450 rounds of SlR, 110 rounds of AK 47, 20 rounds of 315 bore weapon and 47 rounds of 303 bore ammunition. Six weapons were recovered. later on police found three of them looted.

The looted ones were of Bihar and dated since 2002!

SP opined 2002 and thereafter in Bihar it was MCC and PWG. These weapons could be of these two which in the course of time reached these hands of TPC which is a fragmented unit of both the then MCC and PWG.

The three weapons which were looted turned out to be of Imamganj SlR), Tekari ( 303 bore weapon) and Chatra ( 315 bore in 2002 when Chatra was in Bihar).

The three killed ultras were no pauper. Security forces  found and recovered one lakh five thousand six hundred and forty rupees from the trio. It was not their any toil money but the levy extorted in a period of time.

Further the severe destruction of TPC has come at such a time when there is the ripe season of kendu leaves in this range where now TPC’s remaining ultras will have to assert hard to prove their sway.

Security forces are still cross fingered as this TPC has men who fight like Nishant and Girinder and have appeal to raise and strengthen the battered TPC in this region. Sources said what caused the disintegration of the CPI Maoist the caste policy the TPC grew stronger with no caste bias.
