Two top cops of Palamu-- DIG police Vipul Shukla and SP Indrajeet Mahatha—came even close to the commoners when on Saturday, they together spent time with children at Mahudand and locals living in the poor and under privileged area.
As children loved spending time with men in uniform there that prompted the SP to lift a child in his lap to reassure the parents that there is a face change of police in the district. Few years back no police officer could have thought to attend any such function over there as the atmosphere of mistrust between the public and the police was paramount. The naxalite had succeeded in taking control of the territory.
Indrajeet Mahatha expressed joy. “We are now definitely on the space where people talk of development and look assured developmental schemes would reach them.” Palamu administration is going ahead here at Mahudand with all season and weather helipad. BSNl has been motivated to raise its tower here. Installation of transformers, building of roads and several area development plans are on the way for Mahudand.
