The new Bar Mill at IISCO Steel Plant produced highest ever in a shift 721 tons of TMT bars in ‘A’ shift on 16 June. This record achievement exceeded its previous best production of 705 tons in March this year, informed a PR official. “On the same day daily power generation in the Plant peaked at 41.21 MW”, he added.
Chief Executive Officer Rajesh K Rathi congratulated the teams on these record breaking performances and said that the improved market demand for the products will help the organization reap good benefits. The Bar Mill that rolls bars at a top notch speed of 40 meters per second produces TMT bars in the range of 8mm to 40 mm, said the official.
