TMH takes special initiatives for octogenarian patients

Tata Main Hospital (TMH) has come forward to extend a helping hand to senior citizens of 80 years and above. It has introduced a special service to prioritise OPD services for the senior citizens, the root cause being the challenge to avail appointments of doctors (online/offline) as the patients’ inflow in TMH OPD is very high. This initiative has been introduced to provide hassle-free OPD services to old patients to get treatment of critical ailments quicker.

TMH offer services specifically to cater the elderly which would include direct access to pharmacy, pathology lab, cash counter and report collection counter.

With this facility, they need not pre-book appointments on phone or Intranet or TMH Vishwas App for OPD consultations.

The initiative for the elderly will come into effect from where all patients above 80 years will receive the 'Logo Sticker' from the TMH helpdesk to be pasted on their Medical Book.

“At an age of 80 years and above, patients require additional care. Most of them stay far away from their children or are not tech-savvy. This special service is a step taken to make sure that their visit in TMH OPD is convenient and easy”, said Dr Ashok Sunder, head consultant & HOD medicine.
