The Jharkhand wing of Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Sunday reaffirmed its stand on contesting Assembly election in Jharkhand. The party vowed to complete formation of booth-level committees in all districts of Jharkhand in the next two to three months.
Talking to media persons, TMC state convenor Madhukar Singh said, “Didi (Mamata Banerjee) has appealed the people of the state to rise against hunger, fear and corruption. She will come to Jharkhand to rescue people who have suffered at the hands of successive Governments in last 13 years.”
Notably, the party has expanded its strength in as many as 18 districts of the state and today inducted a number of lawyers in the party. The event took place in the presence of Parwez Qureshi, party observer, who travelled from Bengal to covey the party’s chief message.
“Mamta Banerjee’s effect can be felt across the state hence the party will emerge as the third largest party in the next lok Sabha elections. Entire nation wants Didi (Mamta Banerjee) to become Prime Minister of the country,” said Singh.
