Time to brew the perfect cup of coffee with ‘Browntown’

Published on:

Jharkhand’s first roastery cafe, Browntown is all set to enhance the city’s coffee experience by offering a gamut of services, ranging from personalised grinds to a variety of delicacies. Located at Bistupur, the new café with a capacity of 80 persons, will be inaugurated on August 5 by SSP Prabhat Kumar.

Addressing a press meet, partners of the café, Davinder Singh, Randeep Singh and Kulwinder Singh said that it is a totally new concept in the entire State where people can come and enjoy their time away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

“Coffeeholics never call it an addiction, for only a true coffee lover knows what every sip of it means. Our country has always been one of the largest producers of coffee. At the same time, we have also been one of the biggest exporters of coffee. By the start of the last decade, there were many young working professionals who knew about coffee and wanted good coffee, but there wasn’t any supply. We saw a demand for good coffee and decided to introduce the café,” said Randeep Singh.

He went on to inform that the coffee beans are being sourced from Chikmagalur, the place where coffee was first cultivated in India, and it still produces some of the country’s finest beans.

In a bid to encourage customers to experiment, the cafe’s roaster is on view and staff are available to answer questions.

Besides the obligatory espressos, cappuccinos, the café also offers a decadent lineup of desserts like pizzas and bun maskas.

The best part of the café is that the customer sees the coffee being roasted and ground right there. What's more, it serves coffee to suit every taste bud. It also has a range of cold coffee offerings from mocha to latte, each blended according to your personal choice.

The café is situated in the heart of the city, making its coffee more accessible to both college goers and the older generation, almost as if it is attempting to bridge the gap between the old and the new. The taste of Browntown lingers long after you've stepped out of the joint.
