Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday expressed his willingness for a CBI inquiry into the killing of AJSU Party’s General Secretary Tileshwar Sahu, apparently killed on the behest of People’s liberation Front of India chief Dinesh Gope.
Soren, while speaking to the media persons in Jamshedpur, said he wanted that free and fair investigation be done into the matter and he will try to ensure a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) enquiry into the matter. Sahu was shot dead on Saturday in Barhi after he was coming out from a women’s convention.
“This is really sad for us and we need to go to the roots of the matter… whoever the culprits are, they will definitely be punished…I want that an independent agency should investigate into the case,” said Soren. “I will try to get the matter investigated by Central Bureau of Investigation,” he added.
The police have recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from the hideout of the alleged killers at Barhi. At least five timer bombs, four gelatin sticks, two bucket full with explosives, five detonators, three watches, potassium chloride, 3 pipe guns along with some live cartridges have been recovered from the room all the three have been sharing together.
Another accused, who escaped just after the killing, has been identified as Mohit Kumar from Barbigha village of Nalanda. The police sources also confirmed that accused Suraj has revealed some surprising facts before the police.
All the accused were staying at a rented accommodation since the last 15 days posing as students in Barhi. The rooms were rented out to the accused persons on the recommendations of Block BJP president of Barhi Vinod Kumar Yadav.
Surprisingly, the arms and ammunition recovered from their possession reached them through parcels coming from at least 3 different locations including Ranchi. Police have started investigating into the matter after identifying some phone numbers and names.
Meanwhile, the day-long bandh called by AJSU party against the killing, executed peacefully and gathered positive response from the people. The markets remained completely closed during the day across the State. Much to the relief of the examinees, no obstruction was created to the public transport along with other essential services. Private as well as public transport system remained unaffected during the bandh.
“The bandh was more or less peaceful and no untoward incident was reported during the day as we had given clear cut instructions that violation of moral code of conduct will not be tolerated during the bandh, said SP City Anoop Birthare. The bandh also received good response throughout the state including Barhi where people came out on the roads protesting against the killing of Sahu.
The infuriated band supporters were in furious mood and they blocked both GT road and NH 33 for more than 5 hours. The shopkeepers closed their shops willingly and entire market remained closed throughout the day. The band supporters also blocked the highway at several locations. In Hazaribagh also, AJSU workers came out in streets shouting slogans against the killing of Sahu.
