After expelling more than 390 students for using unfair means in Matric and Intermediate examinations conducted annually by Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), the Chairperson of JAC, Arvind Pratap Singh has claimed that due to the arrangements made at each centre, they were able to identify and nab the offenders for breaching the set norms this year.
Few examinees were also arrested from different districts during a surprise inspection by the sub-divisional officers of that respective area. The increase in the number of candidates who were caught cheating has again raised a question on the arrangement made by JAC for conducting the examination.
During the annual board examinations that commenced from February 18, several students were found cheating or using other unfair means to qualify the test at different exam centers across the State. Notably, this year approximately, 941 centers were demarcated for Matric exam while 444 centers at different districts were identified for conducting Intermediate examination.
