The wind was blowing at a frightening speed uprooted several trees and rooftops. The showers were heavy and some low-lying areas were inundated. About 3 feet of rainwater lodged at several spots on the National Highway-23 and 32 between Bokaro and Dhanbad.

Three luxurious cars were completely destroyed when frightening speed wind uprooted a big tree in the Dhanbad collectorate campus and it was falling down on the cars, said an eyewitness.

More than 250 trees (small and big) were uprooted and rooftops of about two dozens of shops in the twin districts were blown off. Thunderstorm along with incessant rains also caused branches of trees falling over electric cables in the township, leading to wide power disruption.
