Sansad Sanskritik Mahotsav (Sansad Cultural Fest) 2023 will be organized for Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency from May 5-7. Various competitions will be held at Audrey House, Ranchi. Artists of various categories who wish to showcase their talent in the festival were asked to register till April 20. According to MP Sanjay Seth, Sansad Sanskruti Mahotsav is being organized for the protection and promotion of art and culture. “Coordinators have been finalized for theater script, tribal dance and music, theme based choreography, folk and traditional dance, tribal instrument, group song and other categories,” said Seth.
Seth claimed that the three day event will give an opportunity to showcase their talents, especially those artists from tribal communities.
Earlier, in February Sansad Khel Mahotsav’ was held at Khelgaon Mega Sports Complex. The sports meet had games on six disciplines. The Sports meet had both women’s and men’s teams. The Jharkhand Olympic Association was the technical assistance in organizing the games.
More than 3000 players from Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency participated in the festival. The festival had competition related to 6 sports, including Badminton, Athletics, Wushu, Archery, Yogasan and Kabaddi. Over 650 medals and trophies were awarded to the participants during the 3-day long festival. 17 blocks and 53 wards of Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency represented in this competition.
There was participation of players from about 200 panchayats. The grand inauguration of the program was held on February 17 by Union Coal Minister Prahlad Joshi. Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda was chief guest in the program and Union Minister of State for Sports Nishith Pramanik was special guest of the program.
Meanwhile, in another development BJP State President and MP Deepak Prakash strongly reacted to the statement of State Minorities Welfare, Tourism and Sports Youth Affairs Minister Hafizul Hasan.
Prakash said that the ministers of the state government were making irresponsible statements in violation of the constitutional norms.
He said that the minister has glorified a notorious criminal like Atiq Ahmed through an interview in a newspaper. He said that the intention of the state government has been exposed by the minister's statement. This government is indulging in appeasement with protection of crime and criminals.
He said that this is not the first time but the minister has become used to making unconstitutional and irresponsible statements.
