AClass VI student was allegedly sexually assaulted by four minor boys at a school in town. On the basis of the statement of the victim police have lodged an FIR at women police station. The student was sent to Sadar hospital for check-up. The three culprits have been held on the second day of the incident.
On Tuesday evening SP Mrityunjay Kumar, SDPO Sadiq Amir Rijwi, thana-in-charge Sudhir Prasad Sahu and inspector Narendra Mohan Sinha reached to the school and took sought of the incident. The one accused has been absconding yet and a task force has been set up to arrest him. One of the accused belongs to latehar whereas the rest three are from Nadia village of lohardaga.
The incident took place on 19th April the day of Good Friday when the victim went to the school and an accused locked her in a room and outraged her modesty. The next day he called his three friends and all engaged in the heinous act. Till mid night they carried on entering the school and suspected by some people hence the matter came into the light. The matter was told to the school authority and got the victim released.
The principal was informed by the people soon and principal called the guardians of the victim. The parents denied to lodged any FIR against the culprits On getting the information of the incident Prof Malti Verma the district head of Child Welfare association, member Manorma Ekka and Kajal Dutta of Women association reached to the Thana and the hospital to take sought of the situation. On the other hand many social organisations as lohra Samaj and others demanded to punish the rapists.
Police have started the hunt investigating the every nook and corner of the incident. The three held culprits are being treated as juvenile and sentenced in a correctional facility.
