Tension gripped Muckdumpur area of Parsudih police station area after a head of an animal was found inside a religious place early Wednesday morning.
Some members of the minority community who had gone to the place for prayers found the head. Residents of the locality started gathering near the religious place soon after word spread about the presence of animal’s head.
locals said the head must have been thrown inside the religious place sometime between 2-3 am.
“ It is really sad our sentiments have been hurt. It is really surprising how trouble makers are trying to destroy peace of the city. The area behind the religious place is minority-dominated and one will have to think twice in committing the act,” one of the locals said..
Deputy superintendent of police (law and order) Vimal Kumar and Parsudih thana officer in-charge Animesh Gupta rushed to take stock of the situation. Adequate police deployment was made to avert any trouble. Police force was deployed in front of the mosque.
Parsudih police station OC Gupta said it could be handiwork of some locals who wanted to create unrest in the locality. “ It is too early to comment but our probe is on. We are investigating the case for finding out the culprits. We will not allow anyone to play with peace in the locality,” Gupta said.
