Ten people from different walks of life were felicitated with the Jharkhand Sewa Ratna Award here on Sunday. The State-level award was given by the Vishwa Sewa Parishad. Renown persons coming from art, medicine, yoga, environment and others were rewarded for their contribution towards the betterment of society.
Urban Development Minister CP Singh was present as the chief guest of the event along with other dignitaries like Vice-Chancellor of Ranchi University Ramesh Kumar Pandey, President cum Managing Director of Vishwa Sewa Parishad BB Raj.
Every year the Jharkhand Sewa Ratna Award is presented to the people who have done distinguished work in various fields. Addressing the gathering Urban Development Minister CP Singh said, “These awards help the recipients’ to further excel in their particular field and also give recognition to people who do not receive any support from any specific institution or organisation.”
