Leader of Opposition in Bihar Legislative Assembly Tejashwi Yadav today visited Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) in the State Capital to meet his father and Rashtriya Janata Dal president Lalu Prasad Yadav. Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad, convicted in the fodder scam cases, is admitted to the paying ward of RIMS for treatment.
Talking to media persons after meeting his father, Tejashwi Yadav said, “Lalu ji's kidney is working at 25 per cent. I have not met him for the last 4-5 months. After the Bihar election, we have come to meet him this time today.”
Tejashwi Yadav was accompanied by Congress leader and Jharkhand Agriculture Minister Badal.
Lalu Prasad Yadav has recently come to the paying ward of RIMS. He was shifted from here to RIMS Director’s Bungalow during the Corona period. He was quickly shifted to RIMS 'paying ward after the alleged jail manual violation case surfaced. A hearing is going on in the High Court of Ranchi regarding this matter.
On Friday, the Government could not give full details of the information sought by the High Court in the case of jail manual violations. After this, time was demanded from the Government to give information on all the points. On this, the court of Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh adjourned the hearing on January 8 next year, setting the date of hearing and directing for a detailed reply.
Recently, about the health of Lalu, his doctor Umesh Prasad had said that only 25 percent of his kidney is working and at any time, his health may deteriorate. However, the director of RIMS has rejected his claim and said that Lalu's health is fine.
Tejashwi Yadav, after getting down from his car, went straight to the Paying Ward where he kept talking for hours with his father Lalu Prasad Yadav. A large number of RJD supporters had also reached RIMS on Tejashwi's arrival. Tight security arrangements were made by the police.
Badal was stopped outside the paying ward by jail authorities.
Talking to the media persons on the occasion, the Agriculture Minister attacked Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar and the BJP. He said that there was talk of more defeat than victory in Bihar Assembly elections. He also said that there was a massive rigging in the Bihar elections. He also accused the Bihar government of Hitlershahi.
Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that his plans do not hit the ground. During his reign, the pace of corruption, inflation is touching the sky, he added.
