The district level technical committee for agriculture met today under the chairmanship of DC Sunil Kumar.
In this meeting, the committee fixed the scale of finance for different agricultural products in the district for the financial year 2014-15.
This year the district level committee has fixed Rs19,000 per acre rate for paddy, Rs17,000 for wheat, Rs12,000 for maize, Rs44,000 for potato, Rs35,000 for onion, Rs49,500 for hybrid tomato, Rs25,500 for local tomato, Rs79,700 for sugarcane, Rs14,500 for gram and so on.
In this meeting DDM NABARD BB Nayak, lDM Sushil Bharti, Agricultural scientists SN Chaudhary, Bharat yadav, district agriculture officer, famous farmer Minoo Mahto, representatives of banks and NGOs were present.
