A three member team of Karnataka based Infrastructure eco tourism development corporation reached tiger reserve Palamu on Tuesday in this connection.

The team is led by a retired PCCF of the same state Karnataka Binay luthra. DFO core AK Mishra said the team visited Kechki which has a tremendous potentiality for eco- tourism and needs a fillip. This Karnataka based corporation has reached an MoU with Jharkhand governmenmt.

The MoU is to promote tourism here and for this this corporation is to prepare a DPR for the latehar eco tourism circuit. Sources said the ministry of tourism India Government has launched Swadesh Darshan.

Sources said Swadesh Darshan has its big scope here in latehar also. There are numerous spots/sites where for some minor works tourism is held up like small distance road is not available and the tourists avoid visiting  the site.

There is a dam near Kechki and this dam can attract tourists if it is given a facelift in terms of passage of tourists. This visiting team is just exploring the possibilities for this.

Chief conservator of forest cum field director PTR M P Singh said, "All we need is to paint PTR in good light as the outside world knows about this PTR for wrong reasons like fighting and battle with the outlawed elements."

DFO core AK Mishra said, "We too had identified a location near Kechki where if infrastructural facilities are emboldened then here we can start boating for tourists." Mishra referred to lodh fall which can attract huge footfall round the year if facilities are upgraded here.
