The shocking tale of a private school teacher, allegedly sexually exploited for around five years at the hands of BSF jawan Ranveer Bhattacharya has surfaced in the coal city. The victim Ratna Kumari (name changed), a private school teacher of Peterwar block under the same police station filed a First information Report (FIR) on May 18 blaming Ranveer Bhattacharya, a BSF jawan of Kasmar block for indulging in rape, forced oral sex and sodomy with her since 2011.
Ratna in her FIR filed on Monday, said her ordeal began in mid -2011 when she came in contact with BSF jawan Ranveer Bhattacharya and he befriended her and sexually exploited her with the assurance of marriage. “I was being harassed for sexual favours for the past five years. On May 2, I have been called by his father Suresh Bhattacharya and his uncle and brothers and also offered money,” said the victim.
The complainant said that Ranveer Bhattacharya, who is marrying someone else. When she visited his house to get the justification, she was abused by them. The BSF jawan as well as his relatives threatened her with dire consequences if she raised a hue and cry. They also threatened to kill her. The victim urged the police officers to take stern action against BSF jawan, who exploited her.
