Tata Steel extended financial support to All India Women’s Conference (AIWC) at a small function held on Thursday. Sunil Bhaskaran, deputy VP, corporate services, Tata Steel handed over the second installment of financial support, Rs1.15 crore to Surekha Nerurkar, chairperson AIWC.
Under CSR Project, Tata Steel has extended the financial assistance towards the development of infrastructure and enhancement of facilities of all three AIWC schools, namely AIWC Academy of Excellence, Baridih High School and JPS, where organisation is providing quality education to more than 5,500 students.
With this aid, construction of new block at Baridih High School is in progress and at JPS, the new Hi-Tech Computer lab has already been inaugurated. Senior executives of Tata Steel and AIWC managing committee members were present on the occasion.
