Tata Main Hospital (TMH) is all set to initiate treatment of patients through the 100 watt Holmium laser machine, the most preferred laser world-wide. The machine has been installed in the Department of Urology at TMH. This unique facility, first for the State of Jharkhand, will bring about a paradigm shift in alleviating kidney and urinary problems. Patients suffering from urinary problems due to prostate, kidney stones, bladder tumor and cancer of the urinary tract and urethral stricture and on Foley's Catheter can undergo laser surgery, which hitherto was possible only in metropolitan or tier-I cities.
