The 10th edition of Tata Crucible Business Quiz - a knowledge initiative by the Tata group had its Jamshedpur (Tata Track) round was held amidst some exciting and enthralling battle of intellect, style and self-belief. After challenging and competing with some of the sharpest minds in the city, the team from Tata Steel comprising EG Khan and Sourav Das emerged as winners and successfully made it to national finals to be held in Mumbai on October 13, 2013.
The runner-up position was bagged by loveleen Mishra and Bismoy Ranjan Pati – a couple team from Tata Motors. Chief guest for the occasion, T V Narendran, MD-Designate, Tata Steel congratulated Tata Crucible, for contributing to the Intellectual capital of the nation. Narendran awarded prize money of Rs.100, 000 to the winning team and Rs.50,000 to the runner-up team.
The Tata group, which has always believed in giving back to society, is endeavoring to inculcate the culture of philanthropy amongst participants of the Tata Crucible this year by increasing the prize money from past year’s Rs.75, 000 and Rs.35, 000 respectively, where the increase of Rs.25, 000 and Rs.15, 000 for the Regional Winners and Runners up prize respectively will be donated directly to a charity of the team’s choice. The quiz was hosted by ace quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam.
