Animation film being conceptualized on Tara’s story

Much talked about shooting sensation Tara Shahdeo will soon become a character in an animated film being made by Ranchi Centre of Zee Institute of Creative Art (ZICA). The short film of around 15 minutes will have its main character -- ‘Tara’ where she has been projected as a Super-girl who, after coming over from all odds in her life, finally emerges as a winner at the end.

“The concept of the film has been adopted from the original story of Tara Shahdeo, who had hit the headlines due to her extraordinary courage she had shown against some of high profile bigwigs and chose to fight against them,” said Director of the film Amit Kumar Gupta. The character however, has been projected as a Super-girl, who, despite all odds in her life, finally emerges as a winner at the end, he said.

According to Gupta, the film, which is presently a part of the project of multimedia students at ZICA, will be put on the YouTube and also be sent for National and International nominations of film festivals.

The film is presently at the pre-production stage and the script is being finalized by the four member production team – Sawan Kumar, Aditya Kumar, Suman Nayak and Richa.

“As soon as the script is finalized, we will meet Tara Shahdeo herself  to discuss over it in order to avoid any controversy on the story line; we will also be seeking inputs from her,” said the centre head ZICA Ranchi and production team member Richa.

In the mean time, concept-design for the character has been prepared and the costume for the Super-girl is being given final touch by the production team.

The film is fully based on Maya 3D animation and will be released episode wise. “As of now, we are making the first episode of the film and gradually on the basis of the responses on the YouTube, we will go for another episodes,” said Richa.

ZICA Ranchi is also releasing another film -- ‘The Black Era’ which is claimed to be India’s first and largest sci-fi short film using motion capture technique based on the fire at Dhanbad coal mines. It is to be released at the occasion of Dipawali.

The film will initially be put on YouTube which will be later sent to various film festivals for screening. Platforms like Maya, DAZ3D and Nuke have been used in for making the film including the real footages of fire at coal mine in Dhnabad.
