The State BJP unit today reacted sharply on CM Hemant Soren’s statement in which he has said that the BJP that talks of politics of purity has conspired to topple the Government in Madhya Pradesh. State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo today said that when JMM was running the Government with BJP in Jharkhand, Shibu Soren voted in favour of Congress in Parliament in Delhi. “Perhaps this is the case of purity of politics for the JMM. The JMM bribery scandal had written a new black chapter in parliamentary politics,” he said.
Pratul said the JMM should also remember that its ally Congress has imposed President's rule, dismissing elected State Governments more than one hundred times since independence. The Congress, the JMM's ally, contested against the Janata Dal (S) and Shiv Sena in Karnataka and Maharashtra and later formed a Government with these parties, leaving all moral values. Perhaps this is the definition of politics of purity from JMM's point of view, he added.
