West Singhbhum MP laxman Giluwa will now head the BJP in Jharkhand. Party’s national president Amit Shah on Wednesday accepting the resignation of incumbent Tala Marandi, appointed Giluwa as the new State chief.
The fresh appointment was in offing since position of Marandi became very fragile since his coming into child marriage controversy, announcements of new office bearers in the State without consultation and his outburst against CNT-SPT amendments. Sensing the heat, Tala Marandi had offered to resign from his post on August 10, but was asked to remain in the post till August 23, when a final decision is taken by the party high command.
