Take challenge as an opportunity: Das

Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Saturday said that developing the State lagging behind on a number of development parameters was a big challenge. He, however, added that it was time to take this challenge as an opportunity to use both natural and human resources in an efficient manner to develop the State in five years’ time. “Jharkhand has abundant natural resources and skilled manpower, but due to hostile political conditions it could not keep pace with development. We have a challenge to develop in next five years, but we should take the challenge as an opportunity,” he said.

The CM was addressing a gathering of 25,000-odd BJP workers at the party’s Workers’ Conference on Saturday in the presence of top leaders of party, including its national president Amit Shah. Das, on the occasion, praised the Central Government for giving a corruption-free environment in the country and said that 10 months’ spotless Government was an achievement for PM Narendra Modi and his team. He also congratulated party president Amit Shah for helping in formation of an empowered Government at the Centre and the State. “This happened for the first time in Jharkhand’s history that a full majority Government has been formed. The credit goes to the party president,” he said.

Congratulating the workers gathered on the occasion, the CM said that they would be felicitated and honoured in the coming days for achieving target of making 50 lakh members. On the strategy for success of party’s membership drive, Das said, “With formation of a stable Government in the State the expectations of voters has also increased. So, it is the duty of the workers to villages and tell the voters about the new initiatives being taken by the Government. They also have to bring the issues of the common man at the fore and this way, they will make a good relationship with the party and the voters.”

Speaking on the occasion, former CM Arjun munda called upon the party workers to visit every colony, village, small community that has remain untouched in the party ongoing membership drive. This way, they will cross the target of 50 lakh members in the stipulated time, he said. “Only BJP can solve the long pending problems created by parties that ruled the State earlier. The Centre has initiated concrete steps towards development in last 10 months. It has also created a special status of the nation in the world in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is, therefore, it is high time that we stand tall in leadership in the world. We have to ensure that the nation leads the world in all respects,” Munda said.

Calling upon party workers, Munda said that favourable and hostile situations will keep coming, but the party workers have to give a befitting reply to those who create nuisance. “It is the primary responsibility of every worker to complete the works allotted by the Central leadership. This way only, we can ensure stability and development in the State and the nation,” he added.
