Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sunil Kumar Barnwal during an interaction with Deputy Commissioners (DCs), District Public Relation Officers (DPROs) and senior officials through Video conferencing (VC) on Saturday asked them to take ‘Swacchta Hi Sewa’ initiative to each household. Barnwal advised the officials to adopt different steps to link public with sanitation campaign.

During the interaction, the Principal Secretary stated that the initiative must be taken up with utmost seriousness. “The State government is attempting hard to popularize the initiative, ensuring equal participation of the public. From September 15 to October 2, ‘Swacchta Hi Sewa’ programme will be observed at every district, hence, it is the responsibility of each individual to spend at least an hour in a day in cleaning activity,” said Barnwal.

Barnwal mentioned that with cleaning activity, the officials must ensure that people must be made aware about the importance of cleanliness. On the other hand, following the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled on September 23 in Ranchi, Barnwal instructed the DPROs to sensitize the people especially those residing in outskirts of their respective districts about the world’s biggest health scheme that will cover up around 57 lakh families in State.

“Utilise every medium to communicate with the public. Banners, posters and bill-boards, LED vans must be used to spread awareness about the government schemes. From October 2 to December 31, every district must conduct a programme ‘Sabki Yojana Sabka Vikash’. The programme has been designed in a way that will cover up all details of ongoing government programmes,” Barnwal further stated.

Barnwal advised the DPROs to participate in the meetings of Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) to establish a direct communication with the rural populace. “All Gram Rozgar Sevaks (GRS) have been instructed to visit at least four blocks of their respective districts and organize camps for spreading awareness about the ongoing schemes. DPROs must conduct a meeting with the local cable operators of their districts for ensuring the telecast of programmes shown on jhargov.in ,” he asserted.

Besides, Barnwal gathered information about the ongoing schemes from DCs and enquired about the status of the schemes. Barnwal advised the senior officials to collect reviews received from different communication mediums especially those assembled from LED vans to Headquarters for making further modification and using it for later purpose.
