As the puja pandals opened for the denizens in the State capital, the various puja organising committees in the city has made all proper arrangement for devotees. In order to promote cleanliness in the city and giving emphasis on Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan, a number of pandals in the State Capital have made proper arrangement for toilets, dustbins and cleaning facilities around the pandals.
Apart from the administration, puja pandal committee members are doing their best to provide all basic amenities to the denizens. Citing details about the arrangement, a member of Satya Amar lok puja pandal informed, “This year we have made proper arrangement for toilets especially for women devotees. Devotees will not face any problem as the committee members have made proper arrangement for water and essential things like first aid kit.”
Similarly, the Bhartiya Navyuvak Sangh, which organises puja at Bakri Bazar is ready with arrangements from fire safety to security. Rahul Sharma, member of the committee, said, “Apart from what the administration is offering, we have made are own proper arrangements like security, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, dustbins etc. Moreover, proper drinking water facility will be provided at every food stalls to the denizens. Toilets are constructed for the convenient of public.”
However, few major pandals in the State capital has not made any proper arrangement for toilets. Speaking about the arrangements made by the R R sporting committee, president of the committee, Rahul Yadav said, “Since our puja pandal is located in one of the busiest location and we have very little space left with us after the pandal is constituted, so it is difficult to arrange separate toilets. However, there is a proper arrangement for water facility inside the pandal premises.”
