Suspected JPC ultras and some anti-social elements opened fire at the residence of an engineer, situated in Krishnapuri on Tuesday night.
It is said that the ultras have demanded the levy of one lakh rupees from the engineer on the name JPC. Engineer informed the Sadar Police after the incident. The police then reached his house in the midnight and started the investigation.
According the DSP headquarters Arvind Kumar Singh some anti social elements reached to the house of junior engineer lal Babu Yadav, presently posted at Hazaribagh in rural development department and forcibly opened the door. They demanded levy of Rs one lakh rupees on the name of JPC ( Jarkhand Parstuti Committee). When he refused to pay the amount, they started firing and fled away. A case has been registered. Dy. SP further said that engineer Yadav has given some mobile numbers from which he was regularly getting threat calls. He said “We have started the investigation into the matter.
