On Saturday midnight, some notorious elements torched one poclain machine of a private company BKB around half a km away from Bokaro Thermal police station.The company was constructing a fly over in-between Kathara –Bokaro Thermal. The project is of Rs134 crore near Bokaro thermal.
It is suspected that the incident took place at around 3 to 4 am on Saturday which has caused loss of about Rs 70 lakhs to the company. Bokaro Thermal Inspector cum Officer-in charge Rajesh Kujur visited the spot and assured everyone that the culprits will be soon behind the bars.
However locals have maintained silence over the incident. But sources said the machine has been set ablaze by some antisocial elements following a controversy over either payment of extortion or allegedly encroachment by unauthorised persons on the DVC land. The CISF fire extinguishers had to struggle for one hour to extinguish the flames. The police have started massive manhunt to nab the perpetrators.
